“Ohne zögern / without hesitating – Varian Fry: Berlin – Marseille – New York”

The American journalist Varian Fry helped more than 2,000 persons persecuted in the Third Reich to escape to unoccupied France and on into exile. The exhibition architecture traces their story as a framework for numerous contemporary documents. Labyrinth like walls, narrow passages and lines of sight give the visitor a strong sense of the involuntary journey.
